The Topeka Pilots Hockey Team will host and celebrate members of all branches of the United States Armed Forces at this weekend’s double header game against the Lone Star Brahmas with on- and off-ice
recognition throughout the evening, as a part of its “Salute to Service” game.The Pilots are encouraging fans to arrive early. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. on both Friday and
Saturday and doors open at 6:05 p.m.
Included as part of the evening, Topeka Pilots and the Military Veteran Project will debut a Military Salute to Service Jersey dedicated to all service members. These jerseys will be auctioned off
immediately following Saturday night’s game with all proceeds benefitting the Military Veterans Project.The Salute to Service features a REDOUT this Friday, November 2, where fans are encouraged to wear
red for RED FRIDAY to Remember Everyone Deployed. A Color Guard Ceremony will be conducted by We-Ta-Se of Mayetta and the National Anthem performed by Melissa Brunner of WIBW. Honorary puck
drop will be complete by a member of the 190th Air Refueling Wing.
Saturday, November 3, music will be performed by Topeka Police Department Pipe & Drums and a Color Guard Ceremony will be conducted by We-Ta-Se of Mayetta. The National Anthem will be performed by
Lamont Jackson of Kanas Capitol Police. Honorary puck drop will be completed by Melissa Jarboe, founder of the Military Veteran Project & Patrick Gordon, owner of Dr. Radon, Shawnee Heights fireman
and MVP Ambassador. Immediately after the game, players will line up for the jersey auction next to local veterans who will be recognized and honored for their service to our country and their continued
service to our community in Topeka.
Discounted tickets are available for all past and present military, spouses and dependents at the Kansas ExpoCentre Box Office with a valid military ID. These $7 military tickets are for any seat in the arena only
on November 2nd and November 3rd and must be purchased at the Box Office. Tickets for the general public start at $10 for adults and $7 for children (3-12 years old), with children under three bring free.
